Commercial Excavation, Site Work, and Utilities for Medical Center

Fort Collins Commercial Excavation and Backfill - TCE Construcion

This project included the installation of one of the first StormTech stormwater chambers in northern Colorado.

A national general contractor hired us to provide earthwork and site utilities services for construction of a new rehabilitation facility in north Fort Collins. This infill project maximizes every usable square foot of land on the lot.

The underground utilities installation includes an underground water detention facility installed underneath the parking lot–one of the first StormTech stormwater chambers in northern Colorado. StormTech's innovative water detention solution was chosen because it provides the most cost-effective method for utilizing available land while protecting water resources.

Challenges

Logistics required precise coordination because there was no storage available on site. The shoring and proximity of the fiber-optic line demanded very intricate excavation work. The location of the utility tie-in was at the convergance of four roads in a busy medical park which meant that bringing the utilities on site needed traffic control, tight sheduling, and constant communication with the City of Fort Collins and local businesses.
